1. Register on the business page

Facebook Business Pages are created using a personal Facebook account, so you need to log into your account first. On the right side of the blue toolbar, find and click the "Create" button.

Select page category

2. Enter information about your business

Name your business page. The title of your page must match the name of your company. Then choose the category that best reflects what your business has to offer. For example, a clothing brand might enter "Clothing", which will then prepopulate a list of related options for you to choose from.

Then choose a photo to upload as your business profile profile picture. Companies usually use their logo as their profile picture, but you can use any photo that represents your business and your business branding. Make sure your image is clear and not clipped.

Then consider downloading the cover art. The cover image is the background image that appears on your Facebook business page, similar to your personal account. 4. Invite friends to like your page

Facebook will prompt you to invite your current Facebook friends from your personal account to like your new business page. Existing Facebook friends can provide a good starting base of likes for a new Facebook business page, so it's a good idea to go ahead and do that. Either click the tooltip or invite your friends using the "..." button from your business page as shown below.

5. Include Additional Business Details

In the menu on the left, find and select "About". This is where you'll enter information that will tell readers about your business, from ways to contact you to your products or menu. Enter all required information such as your website, opening hours, and contact information.

It is not uncommon for a company's Facebook page to rank higher in organic search than their website, given domain authority. With that in mind, it's important to fill out all the information as it can be the first point of reference for a potential customer for your business.

6. Add a button for the page

Once you've entered all the important information into your page, you'll want to add a button to your page that will appear in the top right corner of your page, below the cover. This acts as your page's call to action (CTA) and is free to use. Including what is relevant to your business can help generate more leads and, in turn, increase sales. To do this, click the blue "+ Add Button" button on the left side of the page below the cover image.

You can choose from the following button types: Book with You, Contact You, Learn More, Buy or Download. Choose the button type that best suits your business. For example, a barbershop is likely to want to use the Book Now option, while a merchandise brand will find the Shop option more appropriate.

7. Promote your business page by being active on Facebook
