Cyberpunk 2077, 400 people are working on the game
Being such big fans of The Witcher series, we are very excited about Cyberpunk 2077. Looking back at the first quarter of the year, CD Projekt Red says that more than 400 people are currently working on the game that the company is preparing.

In a statement summarizing the first quarter, CD Projekt addressed a couple of important business issues. For example, sales of The Witcher 3 and DLC remain the company's largest source of revenue.

“CD Projekt Red Studio continued the intensive development of Cyberpunk 2077, and currently more than 400 people are involved in the project,” the company said.

This is a potentially significant number. In total, the Witcher 3 development team included about 240 developers, although there were about 1,500 people in the overall development and launch of this game.

Most of the developers who worked on The Witcher 3 switched to Cyberpunk 2077 by the end of 2015, and the team has grown since then.

Cyberpunk 2077 can indeed be an even more ambitious game than The Witcher 3, and this can partially explain the big team. But CD Projekt Red said that he takes a new, more voluntary approach to the crisis than it did with The Witcher 3, and this necessarily means that more people need to be hired.

The issue also notes that this year's E3 may be “the most important exhibition in the history of CD Projekt,” so we will learn more about what they all worked hard for several weeks.
